Ok I didnt include the handhelds, not enough options. AND this survey is: "What is your favorite gaming system of all time?" So this means we aren't gonna take into consideration that the systems we have now are 10x stronger then what we had back in the day. This survey was inspied by a lively conversation that is still taking place as I type. Hope no one was offended...Wow people take there gaming seriously

So i was thinking on this and well i came from a family that didnt have too much money and we didnt get the most up to date game system when it came out. When i was growing up(This is going to make me feel old) we had ATARI and COM 64 and a couple others that some ppl prolly havent heard of. The most up to date one i had was a nintendo, after having that i didnt get any other game system until hmmmm a playstation in 1999 and after that i didnt get a PS2 till 2 yrs ago. But i would have to say that my favorite gaming system is my computer. It is a multi gaming/internet/anything you really want to do. Only bad thing is most of the really cool games dont come out on computer till they are old...lol

haha, Atari 2600 an C64!! hell yah i had about 200 atari games one of my earliest memories in life is sittin on my parents bed playin Pac man with my dad.
C64 heck yah thats where i got my love of computers from hahah i remember pickin up a game programming book for it an pissing around with it for hours and hours, think i had somewhere around 600 games for this man pick up a coupla game packs that had 50 games in all on like 5 disks.
Even with the fond memories of those to systems i would hafta pick Snes as i have virtually every game i ever owned for it emulated so i could play them if i ever had the time, and even more of them emulated that i never played cuz some fuckin corperate asshole thought the US gaming comunity wouldnt buy the title so they never brought it over from the JPs!

I vote for Nintendo 64. Its not on your list bitch but I loved that system. I played Zelda Ocarina of Time like 5 times. Lexxia and I played thru it and go everything except one 1/4 piece of heart. We know where it is and can not get to it. But I loved that game. Along with 007 and NHL 98 I was one uber happy dude. I think if I had had a PS i would say that. I didnt play FFVII till i had a PS2.

SNES for the following reasons:
Final Fantasy II Final Fantasy III Secret of Mana Earthbound Chrono Trigger Bomberman Contra Battletoads Mortal Kombat Zelda: A Link to the Past
and there's more!!!
The systems have gotten better, but the games have gotten worse. Playstation ruined it when they came out. Now you can't have one good system because some companies make games for only one system (ie: Squaresoft ditched Nintendo for Sony)

yah, thats what i hate most about modern games and platforms is usually the crappiest games are all cross-platform and the best games are for one system only.
kinda wish all games were always released on all platforms. then people would only need to choose a platform based on its actual looks, accessories, services, and the pricetag

Gotta agree with your reasoning on gameplay > graphics gladius. I mean I like eye candy as much as the next but too many games now are all pretty but the gameplay sucks.

/nod.
I also kinda liked 2D screen scroller games. I also liked how FF was 2d and what I hated about FFX is that it didn't really have a world map that you could explore. In old FF I use to just cruise in the airship with no particular destination : )

yah i miss those old rpg's like that, realism is nice an all, but sometimes i think it causes the game to be less fun or something
