lol if i had the game, would love to play online with it, but as with any fps dialup jus dont getta play. lol most servers if they dont have a min ping req which keeps dialup off, end up bootin dialup cuz its only a certain amount of time b4 everyone is sayin ur cheatin cuz u either soak up bullets or cuz ur ghosting

I'm debating on picking up this game. It looks fucking awesome and now that all the patches are out it would be nice to get started playing. Problem is its specs are slightly higher than I would like. Ive had my pc for about 3 years now and have been able to run hi res al this way. It looks like if I'm gonna continue my pc gaming reign I'm gonna have to put some money into my pc. Some ram would be nice but more importantly I need a new process.... AMD2100+ I think. Clocks about 1.6666666666666666666666666666666 mhz. (SLOW) And I think my mother board socket can only hold the next step up which is like a 1.9999999999999999. So if I'm gonna upgrade i may have to just start over and grab a couple pieces from this pc and put in that one...... Or is it time to say fuck the pc cuz soon the next gen consoles are gonna be coming out and I could probably get my gaming and online gaming fix with an Xbox 360? Any advice?

Yes yes tachi I know where you stand, but when we are talking bout dropping probably 1000 bucks or just picking up the xbox 360 for whatever price it really makes it a tough decision for someone in my financial situation. I can still run it no problem, I'm in the middle of the minimum and recommend requirements. hmmm maybe I should try giving the processor a kick and over clock it a little bit.... though I have never done that....
BTW I love PS and I respect XBox. The new technologies that each is gonna be using in just their processors is quite amazing. I dont think one will be better than the other as far as hardware is concerned, it will be the line up of games and online capabilities that sells the machines and makes one better than the other. Before you know it one of these guys is gonna turn the gaming console into a complete multimedia machine.

yeah i am uber RPG fan thats my only complaint with the X-box really. I understand where your coming from why spend 2K on a new uber PC when u can get a new gaming console for 300-500 bucks. It all depends what u can afford and what u will need/use more. I'm not trying to sound like an ass its just i'm used to both just because i have nothing else to pay for so all my work money ends up in electronics. But in my gaming opinion a console has much more to offer game wise than a PC but not the capability of a PC, ie speed and performance wise.

hahahah, do you know anything about the new consoles coming out? 3.2 Ghz? Yes Please! Honestly the processor ideas are insane. ok ok oko oko here ill explain just a little.
PC= One processor that handles everything (in most cases some people run dual processor, personally I have not). In some cases people can get a processor on their graphics card, which will handle all the pc's graphics but the code threads still have to go thru the processor to get to the graphics card if I'm not mistaken and if the FSB is slow there is no point.
XBox 360= 3 general processors to handle all of the code. I'm not sure if each will run at same time or if one takes the overflow from another. That could make a difference, regardless there is three general processors working.
PS3= I think its 9 mini processors all designed for a specific function of the code. One for sound, one for rendering, one for graphics and so on. Sounds nice but how does the right info get to the corresponding processor fast and efficiently? And if the code doesnt call for use of lets say like 2 or 3 processors then those ones are just sitting there doing nothing. Seems like a waste of space, speed, and efficiency as far as processing code is concerned.
Honestly I'm not sure what I'm gonna do. I may just end up doing both. Anyway, read up on the console you are gonna get or the hardware you are purchasing before you make the purchase just so you know how it works, therefore you can get the best results that you desire out of a "gaming" system.

yeah i gathered info for 2 months before i built my PC >.> pain in the arse but worth it. I will also more than likely get a PS3 just because more RPGs are under the sony label and thats mostly all i play. I need a laptop so i think ima con my parents into a joint b-day / christmas gift and hook me up with an Alienware laptop.

Sure they look pretty but you can build your own with the same specs for half the price dude. Dont buy alienware all you are getting is a name. Research the parts you want and put it together or have a local pc tech person put it together for you.
When I bought my last computer i didnt have the knowledge to put it together and get it up and running as I do now. I looked at alienware and found a pc I wanted but it was 4k (this was 3 years ago). I looked up all the parts and purchased each one by one. I built the same pc with the same parts in an Antec case (which is the cases alienware uses or was using back then) and spent only 2k on it. I saved 2k and got the same fucking pc. And it is still a great pc, like i said its getting to the point where I'm gonna have to think about upgrading but it can still hold its own. i just wish I would have sprung the extra 100 bucks to get a better motherboard that supported more sockets of AMD processors. Thats the only thing that is fucking me right now.
