For 2 years, the balance of the bank has not been public knowledge, as far as I know. Since I've joined, I've been extremely active on the forums. I haven't seen a single post asking the officers to make this public knowledge. Now...some people decide that they don't trust Tempus/Markus/Krazi/Miruuk/etc, and everyone wants the bank balances known? Why is this? Why wasn't this posted, saying "Hey! There's some members that would prefer it be public knowledge!"?

As for tells going unanswered when trying to address issues with the LS...it happens. It probably happens more frequently than anyone will want to admit. That is what the forums are here for also. Send a PM to a sackholder. They answer them. I know. I pester some of them a lot. Or better yet, compile your thoughts and make a post. Give examples. Like you, Fluffy...you said you are uncomfortable with some of the flirting that goes on in the LS. The flirting between who? Have you trying PMing them on here and saying "Hey, this bothers me, and some other people...mind toning it down?"

I haven't seen anything racist, and maybe I just haven't been on during those time...but call those people out. I've been told from the beginning that EO is accepting of everyone, regardless of race, sex, age, sexual preferences, etc. If it's happening, PM Jonathan or Beren on the forums...they've both been quick to address issues dealing with that type of thing in the past.

There are all sorts of issues coming out in a thread that was about the reason Imohtep/Aerya/Bale left. If we have people coming out of the woodwork, and suddenly saying there's a bunch of stuff wrong...it leaves us to wonder why we aren't working together to make this LS someplace we all feel comfortable it. It leaves us to wonder why no one has bothered to make a post saying that there's something that needs changed. There are 13 officers to 70-80 members. They can't mindread...if there is something wrong, they aren't going to know unless you step up, and post here, or throw them a PM. Sometimes just a tell isn't going to work.

EO is our home...since we are all here, we all need to work together to keep it happy.

Actually bridger its not rocket science, its more like balancing a corporate check book by abacus. There are 70 some members, around 60 payouts, and those people aren't all on at once. so if payout is ready by the 5th, that money isn't distributed until i've seen as late as the end of the month. This isn't SH's fault, this is members

1) not educating themselves about payout and LS policy
2) members not being on line for most events
3) members not being on line for actual payout
4) Tempus' schedule

So, say the bank has 2m in it. and 50 people still need paid. Thats alot of math to figure out at the drop of a hat.

As i've heard, EO is one of the Only LS's on titan that does payout. Its a Thank You from them to us; NO OTHER LS DOES IT. They could just eliminate payout and make it far easier to calculate; but I dont think anyone would appreciate that.

Think of it as writing a check and not having it cash from your account for the next month. I feel confident in saying we have members that haven't picked up payout in over 2 monthes (Tempus correct me?). Thats ALOT of math; and frankly these SH's are working during their playtime.

Frankly, its not my money. I could give a shit how much money is in the bank. It doesn't matter to me. If they have 500 million it doesn't matter to me; because its not my money. I come; I get points I use those points to get items. I'm compensated for the time I put in, if I wanted to see it as a job. But I dont, its a game and I get to have fun, with my family. [EO] That money KEEPS ME having fun by financing the financial aspects of the game (Dynamis anyone? Helping friends that came back get back on their feet, etc)

Fluffers, rather than post in this thread with your issues and concerns lets separate the two like Aly said and please make a different post or PM a SH. You'll have a much better response due to the numerous topics in this thread and we don't need a pile up of problems, we need to line them up, prioritize and deal with them case by case. What is done with the bank balance is to help members get on their feet and to pay for events. Its pure greed people want to nit pick the bank. Look at fucking Tempus's gear....its all rare/ex because the bastard is POOR! I'm ashamed of each person that feels the need to nit pick about such an abscure issue.

It all falls to greed and jealousy..if you have problems...perhaps you should address a SH you trust.

Aerya was trusted greatly....if he wasn't...he wouldn't be running around with a pair of LS Strider Boots that are worth more then the entire bank balance. However his circular bullshit arguing is what caused people to second guess his intentions.

If anyone wants something to do with the bank....state why you want to know...why you want some money from the bank...and its handled case by case. You can't go to MBNA and say "Hey...whats your bank balance..i'm a member tell me now!" thats now how it works..you ask for a loan....its looked at....its given. But the fact of the matter nobody ever fucking asks for shit!. Why is it a problem now because someone wanted to start shit by asking?

bridger sorry. Ya know i had forgotten about that. We both camr from the same 'broken home" to join this orphanage. Fluff from what little i know you your a good person, and in all honesty i dont think you mean any harm. But your post is kinda vauge, and verry ill timed. If i were on the SH's end of this that would make me very defensive as it seems like the point isnt to solve any problem, but simplt to dig up dirt while other issues are up in the air.

LS leaders are still players like everyone else. I dunno about you guys, but im no mind reader, and i dont think they are either. If your not vocal about your problems you can't expect anything to be solved. If you wait till times like this to bring up a bag of issues it just comes off as "Kicking em while theyre down".

I truly do think you have good intentions so dont take it the wrong way, just understand they have alot on their plate with all this. I would like to points out 2 things to that nature though. First and foremost is, in one of the "rules" sections your supposed to read upon joining the LS, its stated by tempus that members will on occasion curse and use crude language. If this sort of thing offends you easilly you'll find yourself uncomfortable here. Now not saying your problems arent going to be solved, as that brings me to 2. I dropepd teh "P" bomb a few days ago, not gonna say the word so just take a guess. Within secconds i had 2 SH's on my tail about it, as alot of people (wommen i guess) complained about its use. If there's something that buggs you, just /tell or PM them they will tone it down. But if you say nothing and expect them to read your mind, im afraid your not gonna get results.

Ok, I have some. I CoP static with Mark/Temp/Krazi from November of '05 to Apirl '06. Of which that entire time they spent struggling one week from the next, financially. Anyone who's made that run will know how straining it can be on funds. Shit, several times a few of em had to sell off equips just to make ends meet.

Personally, I don't care about the bank balance, and I trust the SH's. I didn't know it wasn't posted until reading this thread. My point is if it's private, people will try to make an issue out of it. When I ran an LS bank, I was accused for things, even when the balance was public.

This will be my last post on this site and I will not check here again so please don't post any replies, but feel free to give me a tell in game. I just want to clear up the weskit thing, you have no idea how much I appreciate the fact that the bank gave me the weskit when I came back and I have to thank all the SH's for that. But I do think it's fair to say that the points I have accumulated (I wished it were more but I work during sky farming) and next months pay out which I have rightfully earned even if I am not in EO any more will more than pay for that weskit.

I feel that I have given more to this LS than I have recieved (in equip that is, knowledge is un-measurable) so I personally feel that the /point/payout offer is more than fair.

Lastly, I would like to adress the the topic about markus saying that i am taking sides. First I want to let you know how much I respect you and what you have built with EO and I will always consider you a friend. My decision was not based on taking sides (I had no idea about any of this SH stuff before I decided to quit EO) But on friendship. I always told Aerya that if he ever wanted to start our old LS back up again that I would go and that is what has happened.

As I stated in my first post I will always respect the SH's and members in EO (even though some of you are talking shit about some of my best friends in game) and I hope everything goes well for EO in the future.

Someone not responding to your /tell doesn't mean they are ignoring you. They may be busy /telling more than 1 person, or actually playing, or doing something else and miss it. Please understand this, I have had ppl tell me "YOU DIDN"T RESPOND TO MY TELL" as I am tanking. No kidding I didn't respond, I have 1 a ton of lines popping up on the screen while I am watching voke+flash timers and watching everyone's Hp bar to make sure everyone's ok. Sometimes 1 line of converstation gets by me, or 4 ppl suddenly decide to send me /tells all at the same time about whatever.

as far as event expenses, i spend a SHITLOAD of gil, only becuase i want to be at my best
yes i know darkness is not the best sc on kirin, but when i land 900-1100 on steel, it makes me smile
i spend ~250-600k a week on ls events
oils, red curry( 1 or 2), oils, sole sushi, blink tools, bird fare, and the amount of xp loss i incur if/when i die, and the bird fare, tools, sushi i need to get it back

when i came to this ls, i didnt even know about the payout, not many endgame ls's do this
i was extremely leary of joining an endgame ls because ive talked to many ppl that were in em, and it sounded alot like 1920-1940's mafia shit, then photon convinced me to come to EO
i found out quickly that it wasnt mafia type
weather i was unaware, o well
i like it here

tempus does a good job with handling it, and i hate math, so i dont envy that task
how/when/where the gil is spent is soley on the sh's discretion, i for one, trust them entirely

this I partially agree with. But alot of it has to do with trust. But, those who are in other LS's I haven't really seen reap rewards. They aren't getting payouts, they're coming to help and play with their family. Thats really a case by case situation.

In my tenure with the LS. I have seen issues of Racism come up twice. Two times; BOTH times the person was removed within 2 minutes. A racist comment came out, and 120 seconds later that person had a New Linkshell titled "Broken".
