I thought night watch was "decent" I downloaded it awhile ago because it still hasn't come out in omaha and wont till forever i'm hoping it will be better on the big screen and with the "revolutinary" sub titles... i've always pinned high hopes on the movies ever since i saw my first preview for it. i couldn't wait any longe for it. i already downloaded Day watch which is the second instalment for it and I can understand a decent amount of russian and i can tell you that Day Watch (night watch 2) is better imho then Night watch. stop reading if you don't care or don't want to know what its about.... it has an amazing battle intro and has to do with a magic tool that can change the future of the battle. its a magic chalk that can re-write history/time... also a little food for thought whats his face... Anton's son in the book wasn't even a big player like he didn't have power's that were that big of a deal....and the directer severaly down playeed the use of charms and magic in the movies because I QUOTE "I never really liked magic" which i'm kind of pissed because why would they of chosen a directer to direct this type of movie if he didn't like fantasy type magic shit. also its roots have come from tv to film so a lot of it is kind of dimmed down. i thought the movie was beautifully down though for what it is, budget wise, and a russian film. I haven't seen Night Watch with the new English subtitles but i heard that they are supposed to be really new and revoultionary, appearing at and in different places and getting bigger as the person gets louder, which should be pretty cool. I would say go to this movie if its out in your area, but i doubt it is because its still limited release, atleast its not out in omaha yet. one last note... i don't think its fair to call it a horror movie... because it really isn't too move horror its more of a fantasy movie or thriller/fantasy
