Just be forewarned, in the games current state expect to do a LOT of grinding. Like a redonculous amount lol. That's not entirely true..Everything is based on physical level, not job level. Meaning, you can craft, harvest and grind to get your physical level up. For example, say there are 3 people, physical lv 20-23 looking for one more. They are using a meatshield, 2 dd's and are seeking a healer. Their job lvs are 14-16. You are currently playing your lv 18 mnk, but you do have a lv 10 healer, your physical lv is 23. You'd have np grouping up with these guys with your lv 10 healer. The only thing is you will be lacking maybe a few class abilities from being a little lower, but you'd have the same MP/cure potency as a lv 16 healer that is also physical rank 23.(Assuming you distribute your points equally). I hope that made sense lol, I think I confused myself!

In the FF MMO: Grouping = grinding. Crafting = grinding. Soloing = Grinding. Lets not kid ourselves here At the moment there is only one way to level, and that's grinding. I think Phys attributes are capped by job level. Notice when you level up another job your hp/mp goes up with class levels. Unless I was just seeing some weird bug. And while a caster may be able to skill on higher level mobs in a group, melee have a very tough time. Kyuoto/Lilbit pretty much out leveled me in the first week, and every time I grouped with them it was kind of pointless >< I either couldnt hit the mobs or Kyuoto would kill them in 2 hits.

I got pretty much all of my ranks/levels by doing regional and local leves. Today is the first day that I've XPed, solo, with no quests (leves). And I pounded out a rank in like 35 minutes, taking me from 11-12 CON. Then I learned 6 spells ^^ I just kept beating these squirrels down, never stopped once, never ran out of MP either. {Radiance} and {Spirit Dart} ftw. Fun stuff imo. Now only if I could Charge... Spirit Dart seems to yield the most CON gains, you'd think that casting spells would but I don't think so. Just spam that Dart. If people are experiencing slow leveling, you may need to upgrade your weapon or watch the fatigue system video again >.> The game needs an AH so I can shop! Or they need to make their market ward system work, add a search function or something... And for me grinding implies you are forcing the matter. Like questing in WoW w/o any rested XP. Or grouping for an extended period of time in XI. I guess grinding in XIV would be somewhere along the lines of a XI XP party. It's just that the game is so new, no one knows what works and where... And it's not like SE is going to tell us But soloing without leves seems to work rather well, so far anyway. I'm still pretty low. I'm having fun ;D

In all MMO grinding is there. Be it Xp grinding or Gold grinding not just FF MMO. WoW have grinding which it by repeatedly doing quest...and yes if you switch toon you be mostly doing the same quest for lv60ish-80 and soon 85 again. You MP and HP are cap at your Rank vs Physical level. But not you stats if im not wrong. The mob you can kill goes with your physical level but the most the you can get most skillup goes with your rank. btw
