BUTTHURT! lol j/k I concede. Its a shitty move and a bad practice to affect customers negatively with changes. but my final question is how many MORE customers would be affected by a dying system? I also want to correct your math a tad. You can't take in consideration the entire PS3 consumer base. The Slim launched last year with roughly 18 million "Fats" on the market with roughly a 10% failure rate (confirmed failure rate according to some research group fyi). So its far less then half a million. Just sayin and yes I concede with rebuttles!

That's a valid point.
I'm going to declare kind of a pas de touché on your concession here; I didn't really "prove you wrong" so much as agree our views are incompatible, despite neither one really being wrong.
I really do get where you're coming from... I just don't necessarily agree with the utilitarian method of "sacrificing 1 against their will to save 100..." at least, not for something as mundane as what is essentially a property dispute.

Well I can tell you how Sony see's it. "We got away with taking away backwards compatability...this will be nothing."

I don't care either way, but I don't use Linux....
The 360 is next, IDK around your way, but here in NY, there are so many hacked 360's that 360's or it's games aren't worth shit anymore. Not that I give a rats balls, I always hated the 360 lol.

360 is an awesome system to own as well. But it was too easy to hack. Just have to give up online play.

I can get a hacked 360 for about 125, games are 5 bucks a piece... I just don't play offline much anymore, that's what kept me from getting one so far. Actually now that I think about it, I don't play much online these days either...
