HAHA!!! That sounds like something Nauren would try to do. He's not allowed to have any sharp or dulled objects in his hands, especially if I'm around. He tried to show me how to use this one thing and about broke the windows out of the apartment. And he took Tae Kwon Do for years, got his 2nd degree (?) Black Belt.

I've done worse though >.>
November of 04. I learned you can jump for the 3rd floor and land without a problem... 4th floor on the other hand...
Also in Nov 04. Trees have lots of branches. Some thicker and stronger then others. If you are climbing/swinging from a tree, use the thicker/stronger branches, or, find out how far you are from the ground, the hard way.
Nov 04. Air Vents on the roofs of BX/PX are not the best thing to be thrown into... they are metal and make a loud "Clang" noise... and you'll leave a dent.
Dec 04 Duck means duck as into dodge...
Dec 04 A fist to the face hurts just as much as a foot to the face. Dec 04 same night as above, fist/foot to the groan also hurts...

Sound like you should play FFXI more, b/c your other activities seem to be a tad dangerous. O.o

I don't have a cam or anything ; ;
I need to get my forms sword from back home here so I can use that one. It has no edge so I can swing it around my arm without cutting it off. I used a friends sword, and he claimed it "dulled" but he seemed to have missed dulling the tip... jerk.
To clear some things up... I've been going to the ER/Clinic for the last 2 weeks. I didn't post about when it first happened >.> I have some sense in me... I just stopped the bleeding when it first happened. After it scabbed up in 2 days, then I went and have them look at it.
Lets see what they have to say today...

Kaifu... ouch, man. That sucks. Make sure you get them to give you a medical leave of absence for as long as they can if you're seeing a doctor on post. That is NOT something that you want to have a lingering infection on.
My best wishes are with you for a speedy recovery...
And as an ex-AAFES employee, I have to know... how the hell did you do that?!

hehe... Back at Goodfellow. I was sparing on top of the BX roof with my friend. I tried jumping and kicking at him after he had just rolled away from me. He was expecting it and grabbed my foot/leg in mid air, swong me around, and tossed me into the vent. It went "CLANG!" and there is a nice indection in it. Its on the back side, and kinda hard to notice unless your up there >.>
I miss Goodbuddy. I want to start my training up again >< minus the broken ankle...
I missed you Sosa! Hurry back.

kaifu... I'm sorry... I love you like a brother (so its ok to say this), but you're an idiot sometimes. And I mean that in the best, most loving way possible (I would be shaking my head, calling you an idiot while dialing 9-1-1). Take care of yourself and try not to do anything too stupid.

Estara, the trick is, I was being supervised while doing this activties. So, if had done something that would have really hurt me, I would have been stopped. This was just the first few days of training. I loved it! The sound of air rushing out of your lungs, the impact of landing a hit on your teacher. Nothing beats knowing you bested your insturtor... if only for a lucky hit.
I learned a little bit about fighting, sneaking and killing. But, not enough time to learn it all. My goal is to finish my training on my own before 2008 or so. I have to get my Black belt in Tae Kwon Do before Alex (name of teacher) will let me learn any more... *jerk*
Regardless, I'm looking forward to learning more.

I have one of those as well. But, the balance in a wooden vs a metal is weight. All the weight of the wooden is in the "blade" making it different to swing around the body. But, the weight of a well made sword is all in the hilt. In theory you can balance the perfect sword straight on its edge, at the hilt.
Depending on where the weight of the sword is at, effects what type of attacks you would use for said sword.
Example: Long Swords. Swords used by knights in heavy armor. All the weight was placed in the blade, made, it made it an effect "hacking/bashing" The blade itself wasn't the sharpest, just enough to do the trick.
Katana's on the other hand. Are extremely sharp, and light. Because of this, they tend to break if miss used. All the weight is, again, placed near the hilt. This allows for quick, precise movements for cutting/slashing.
A "cheap" Katana would shatter against a Long Sword in the hands of a novice. But, the Katana if used right, would cut the knight down like hot knife through butter~
