Just wanted to say hello to all my peeps out in cyberland. I miss you guys! I started my internship this week and I have a feeling it's going to be great. Dunno about playing for a while. Methinks Meeka will be going on hiatus for awhile. But I'll still be here to chat with!

I'm doing a school psychology internship. I get to work on a child study team, where hopefully I'll be able to help some kids and not go crazy fighting the establishment of the school system. I really wanted this job at first and thought I'd be directly helping kids. But, now it seems that it will more likely involve a lot more paper work and a lot less direct face to face help with kids. If this fails, I will definitly become a teacher, because I really loves these stupid kids for some reason lol No, really, I think I will end up liking this career. I get to give psychological tests, assess them, write reports, do counseling, and run workshops. I hope it goes well.

That sounds really interesting Meeka. I know how you feel about wanting to work directly with the kids and being disappointed by paperwork and all that administrative bullpoop. I got my teaching degree in NYC so if you EVER have any questions, please send me a PM or e-mail. I'll give you any and all info I have that you might find useful. The psychology angle is something I always thought about doing as well. Maybe I'll go back to school (again) and I'll be picking your brain.

Enjoy it and don't get lost in the paperwork. There is a troubled kid behind every sheaf of paper and you can really make a difference. Good for you!!! Meeka FtW!!
