If you were on a deserted island, what would be the one thing you would want to have? I was talking to my roomates about this today and it would probably have to be a swiss army knife, only cause i always think practical lol. Hopefully the one thread i start doesnt flop  . |

A knife...while handy, I'm assuming I could fashion some sort of cutting tool.
I'm assuming the island would be able to provide the sustenance I'd need to stay alive, so it'd be the one thing that could let me retain my sanity. I'd have to have a female companion. Problem with that is, you choose the wrong one and you're stuck on a deserted island with them.

Maybe I'll just bring a book.

Re-thinking it i might have to go with the bringing alot of alcohol. Although i can see myself maybe stumbling in to some poison ivy or try to pet a Bear.

I've been watching that Survivor man show! And I have to say, one of the MOST useful tools he has been using is his nifty multi tool thingy. Anything else you need can be built with it, cut with it, etc etc etc.
Survivor man is a Canadian survival expert, he spends a week somewhere that you could be stuck, ex: Middle of the desert bike accident, being lost in the canadian mountains, plane crash in some reallllly cold place, stranded in a swamp, shipwrecked on an island. The show is pretty cool, and edumacational too!
