LoL Sosa, you got me, I just went back and re-read what I wrote, and I laughed, silly me. How about this: Exploit = doing something obviously not intended, which may or may not violate ToS (i.e. - independent of violating ToS). Sending in 17 blms to Divine Might -> Exploit, doesn't violate ToS Some people will treat you like you are souless for having done this. These people are ridiculous and forget the outcome of the game doesn't matter, and you are not a horrible person for doing so. Using 3rd party program to change subjobs in Valkurum Dunes -> Exploit, violates ToS.

To be clear Markus, this was not an attack on EO, and your damn right, I will use exploits too if they hurt no one. My definition of exploit being doing something obviously no intended which doesn't violate ToS.

First of all, I would like to say that I am 100% against doing something that has a negative impact on someone else. (I.e. - gil buying, as it throws an economy out of wach, and actively prevents people who worked for their gil from purchasing items at reasonable prices. Or doing something like selling an item in your bazaar at the price of a stack, when you know the item will be sold individually, not as a stack, and you are hoping someone buys it at 12x the price.)
There has been more than 1 occasion, where I have mentioned certain exploits of FFXI, and a few select individuals have well, to put it nicely, freaked the hell out for having brought up the topic. I have always dodged the issues of the "Ethics of Videogames" (i.e. - how you treat a computer programmed monster with no feelings, which I equate to how I treat an inamiate rock ). I have always dodged this issue, because I thought the concept in and of itself was stupid.
When I have brought up exploits I have heard responses such as
"how you approach a video game is how you approach life" -> I couldn't help but laugh
"you are ruining the enjoyment of the game" -> I find this odd, as my own enjoyment is for me alone to determine
Or they will make posts trying to argue the legitimacy of a win, when they were not there. My response to these people is "why do you care?" Did it ruin your day? Do you feel cheated and ripped off by Square/Enix of the $12.95 a month you pay to play the game?
I would like to say the following:
1) You are not less of a human being for having cheated in a video game.
Anyone who responds trying to tell me how inhuman people who cheat at video games are, and how much people who use exploits are stupid, just remember 1 thing,
When we fight Kirin, I have seen people telling or asking our blms to log for hate, that was obviously never intended, and it is an exploit I have seen us use. I also doubt it was intended for the dead party members to be immediately dropped, and replaced with new ones. However, I believe people find fun in these methods, or at least have fun from the drops they get, and I will not condemn them.
Personally, I only use exploits when I have either 1) completely given up ( hasn't happened yet) or 2) suffered repeatedly from the stupidity of others in BCNM fights (i.e.- the monk who refused to 2hr Oryu when he was at 45%).
I say again,
You are not less of a human being for having cheated in a video game.
If cheating at a video game makes you happy, and it doesn't screw others or violate the terms of service, I say go for it, be happy, remember the game was made to make you happy.

Doesn't seem like there's any real benefit to hitting 399 vs 400, other than if the fights only took about 30 seconds. They only got 126 exp/kill. I wonder at what point chaining more monsters does absolutely nothing. LoL, it'd be funny if the continuous chaining added on +10 more exp every time. So at chain 400 lol you get +4000 exp, but I guess that'd kind of make the game take less time and make it possible to max out limit points in only a few hours.

My favorite pothead line of all time:
"See back in the day, George Washington made pot illegal because he didn't want it to compete with cotton" "and George Washington man, he was cool as shit, he'd go ahead, and light up a bow..."

I wasn't trying to exclude anyone from the LS, and I understand that when I said "only pld" I did that, for that I apologize. I did however want the useless comments of "you can't do that" or the endless 1 line posts to stop. If someone really wants to do something, don't make people that want to read 3 pages of "you can't do that" to get to a good idea. I wasn't offended, I just didn't want to keep reading pages and pages when their posts had 0 help.
I would like anyone who had a useful comment that wasn't of the job to post, like their feelings of maybe having a pld/brd or pld/rdm or pld/whatever and why, but I didn't get any of that. (LoL except for Kaifu who said it while I was writing this, but it would have to be Pld/Drg)Well, I think that horse was shot 2x.
Edit: DF, I made another thread where I said I only wanted imput from Plds who where interested in doing this to post and when an irrelevant post was made I asked if it was so hard to meet the requests of the OP, that thread is now gone.
I will make a thread on another site where we can talk about how to do this if you are interested.

I can ask all I want, be as nice as possible, and still find 2-3 pages totally irrelevant info on a thread. When I'm trying to accomplish something, I don't want to waste time reading through it all.
When I make a duplicate thread, and specifically asking irrelevant stuff to be left out, and people still post irrelevant stuff it's really disheartening. That deleted thread had replies from 4 different people, 0 relevant.
I didn't really care if only Plds posted, i just didn't want tons of b/s from people that didn't even play the job like "you need a bard" - or "you can't do it that way" isn't worth reading when I already made up my mind to do it that way.
I'll just go find/make another board, and have people post there.

Screw it, I will find us a board we can actually post on Tork. I was joking around too, but after 2 pages I had about 2 lines of response which actually pertained to the topic. I tried making another thread, requesting that people not post irrelevancy, but they just ignored and posted anyway.
I need to get a big {Monk} {Evlaan}{Woman} into bed tonight.
OOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHH MT!

STOP hijacking this thread you boogers Dito, if you want to be an Rdm forever, go start your Rdm Forever Thread, as it has nothing to do with the Pld Onry Exp Party! Edit: It's ok Shalyn, you can be apart of our group, you just have to level Pld to 70+ first. Now I'm gonna go start a new thread, as this one has very little to do with what I had intended.

Oh I agree, at mid-levels our options would be next to nil, which is why we aren't doing it mid-level. At 70+ however, we get all sorts of options from subjobs. /Thf = SATA /Sam = Tp Build -> I have never heard of anyone trying this /War = Berserk/Warcry /Nin = Dual Wield II ( or III or IV with right equipment ) /BST + Koenig + Lightstaff = Best charmer in game since they removed charming gimp, can also release pet before end of fight so it doesn't exp gimp. As I can now Charm EM mobs as Pld/Bst, I am still kind of shocked. High level accuracy options aren't too hard to find. Sosa, it's perfectly okay if you want to be a Pld.

Woot!
Do you have a Joyuese Tork? It would be helpful for spamming WS.
Sosa there are a lot of options Pld can use to up Dmg, O-hat and Life Belt for starters. There's also a lot of not so expensive gear that you can use for DD, but a lot of Pld never use it as much of this gear does not have +Emnity. Let's also assume that the tank looses hate in this party. With 6 Pld, who will care who gets hit?
Ok so we got:
Pld/Thf - Damfool Pld/Nin - Tork Pld/Whm - Bridger Pld/War - Anyone
