because the movies are made by the one continent without a real fighting style...USA. America has had martial arts created here.....however..they were created by foreigners.

lol well no martial arts isn't necessarily true. The French used self defense techniques from an art called Savate. Points of Greco Roman Wrestling were also used. Not to mention fencing. English Backhold Wrestling, the Spanish Baratero, obviously Irish Boxing, Frenche Danse De Rue, Lutte Parisien, Native American Wrestling, Greek Pankration, Italian Pila Stick Fighting, Russian Sambo, Scottish Highland Fighting (yes its a real style), European Stav, and French Zipota.
lol guess I went overboard but every country had an art of self-defense originate from with in. The similarity between all these arts...is most often they were considered a way of life and implimented in everything. Modern days we only see martial arts as hollywood wanna be's..but in history..these arts were exactly that... ART! So its very possible....that General Custard had a native american wrestled his ass to the ground.

From what I've studied it was developed and practiced in Brazil by the African slaves. There are arts that trace back to Africa as the founding footsteps..but the art that came to be known and practiced as Capoeria was acknowledged in Brazil.
I do know its original origins are widely disputed and are clearly unknown. It seems the training and practices first came to be in Brazil.

thats not true...
Capoeria!!!!!!!!!
hehe I will admit. Most of my history knowledge is based upon martial arts. I tend to know about most martial arts and history as to how it evolved.

I personally hate American History....but I think its probably a fair statement that most Americans do. Most people that are interested in History or Culture seem to like other countries history and cultures. I mean American history is just boring...Captain John Smith this...Amerigo Vespucci that..General Custard dies......blah blah.
There is nothing like a good Caeser who burns Rome to the ground just to see the pretty colors or perhaps Japanese movements from Samurai to modern militia, Korean's militant body guards that trained in 128 different weapons and specialized in one hit kill moves....Greek Tragedies..etc.
