sup hoebag Nothing much. Working alot these days and I have been playing WoW. I am really enjoying myself too. That game is great so far. The quests, leveling. It is everything I loved about UO and FF... Anyways, I can't believe I switched over to the dark side. But it is just that the game is more enjoyable then it is a challenge. Where as I feel like FF is more of a challenge then it is enjoyable. I guess it just depends how much you enjoy challenges. I miss you guys lots though. I hope everything is going well. I check the forums regularly, I just don't want to post or cause any shit or anything. Later punk ass

I had a friend over this past week. She showed me WoW, I showed her FF.
I was....very impressed with WoW. It does a lot of things much much much better than FFXI does. At the same time there were some things I couldn't believe, such as the server can become full and you can't log on. I couldn't even begin to imagine the frustration, especially if you're needed and have prepared outside game for a raid.
She thought FFXI looked boring and couldn't believe all the standing around, exp loss, etc. Basically the game is way too hardcore for her, she wants to be able to come and go as she pleases. And you can't do that if you want the best items in FFXI.
I won't play WoW. I'd love to, looks like a blast. But I don't have the time. I don't have time for FFXI really either... Cydian has been playing a lot of WoW, I guess he raids 5 nights a week or something. But he's pissed about the expansion delay and might start playing something else now.

/poke Sinful Yea, so far I am having a blast. I am a level 16 Warlock named Eedea, playing on a PvP Realm; Andorhal. Lol the girls in WoW pwn the girls in FF... From what I have seen so far, PvP only occurs when someone challenges you to a duel and you accept or when Horde/Alliance raid the opposite faction. Even then you need to be flagged for them to attack you. Basically what I am saying is I haven't been ganked or anything at all yet. The only time I have fought another player is when I let them kick my ass in a duel WoW vs FF. When I was invited to a guild, the guy just /t me and then invited me from where ever he was. I am not sure what the distance is, but you can invite someone to your guild from a distance. Wether it be across the world or the same area, I'm not sure. Either way, I thought it was cool. You can see exactly how many members your guild has, if they are online or offline... The chat functions are sweet too. You can speak to everyone in the same area as you over a certain channel. There is a Trade channel for transactions and a Defense channel for horde vs alliance PvP. You cam jump in WoW. Sit down in chairs. Yawn, etc. Tons of emotes to chose from. I feel like this adds to the realism to WoW. The environment is pretty interactive despite its comic book graphics. I just wish you could own houses like in UO! When you log out in an Inn, you rest. When you log back in, you get XP bonus' on your next kills. I am not sure how long it lasts, I am still learning. The graphics are ok I guess. Kind of kiddie or cartoonish as opposed to the realism of FF. I got all of my 16 levels by questing and just killing random mobs that were around my level. There was no pressure, no rush, it just happened during rather casual game play... When I get home from work if I only have an hour to play, I may log in to WoW. But when I played FF, I would never have logged in because anything in FF takes quite a bit of time. I like FFs AH better. So far I see no way of seeing an items auction history. In WoW it is like a real auction. You have a starting bid, you select the length of the aucion (8, 12, 24 hours iirc), you can put a buyout price and you can put a minimum selling price which remains hidden (iirc). It is alot like an eBay auction. I could go on. I don't really have any major problems with the game yet, I guess I will when I hit 60 (or 70 I think they are raising it in the next expansion) and start WoW end game.

Screw everything you mentioned. You can SWIM and JUMP /dance /dance /dance I'm on a PvE server...I think I like it better than I would like a PvP server. Although, omg, Battlegrounds is so much fun Jeremy and I have been doing the 20-29 bracket, and although I have bad days, I'm getting better ^^ My Mage hit 26 yesterday. The questing for exp, and not losing exp when you die...those are two great features. Like you, I'm not really impressed with the AH...I hate not being able to see history, to know what things should be sold for. For the exp bonus, you earn a "bubble" per 8 hours. So if you don't log in for a few days, you'll get 200% exp for a while. Oh, and guild invites/kicks can happen worldwide, which I like also. Not to mention, not having an item(s) to take up precious inventory space.

We'll see what happens... I dunno if I want to get too far back in ff. TBH, I'm finding WoW much more fun. I think the whole questing = exp makes things a lot more interesting. It isn't just running around, grinding exp. I don't know. There's things that I hate about FF, that WoW doesn't have.
